Bicknacre Memorial Village Hall
Welcome
Bicknacre Memorial Village Hall is conveniently situated on the same site as Priory Primary School, beside the beautiful Priory Fields, providing 39 acres of green space for community use, and the Priory Arch, which is the emblem of our village.
The Hall has been a registered charity since 1970 and is run by a voluntary committee of managing trustees who are committed to maintaining and improving this safe, clean and valuable facility for the use by the local community. All money raised from letting the Hall goes towards running, maintaining and improving the facilities. If you are thinking about hiring our Hall for either a regular event or for a one-off event or party, you can book online via the What’s on/Regular events page or should you have any queries please get in touch by email: bicknacrehall@gmail.com. We are happy to show you around our
hall and the facilities so that you can make your decision. Please bear in mind that the committee are all volunteers, trying to run the Village Hall around work and family commitments.
The Committee looks forward to supporting existing activities within the Hall and to welcoming new and additional users of the Hall from Bicknacre and beyond.

We are currently looking at ways to improve disabled access and hope to work with Essex County Council to install similar disabled access arrangements to those enjoyed by the School. We would welcome any other suggestions from the local community on other ways that our facilities could be improved and are always open to new ideas. If you would like to join our committee, please get in touch – we would always welcome more members. The aims & activities of the charity are the provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the village of Bicknacre as constituted on the 15th July 1970 (herein after called the area of benefit) without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use
for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation.
